I love reading. I always hated it when I was younger during grade school- I hated being assigned the book I had to read. Now that I am done with school I find reading enjoyable. When I was looking for a job in Florida I had a lot of time on my hands. I found the local library and put a bunch of books on hold. -- side note: I think the library should be all online and we should rent all books for free for the ipad and tablets... one day-- Anyways, I thought I would share with you my recent daily read.
The Glass Castle
By: Jeannette Walls
It is a beautiful story about Jeannette's life. Her strength is incredible as you read about the hardships she went through as a child. It is hard not to get emotional while reading her story. I don't want to give anything away so all I am going to say is-- I loved it. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a good page turner.
What is your favorite recent read?
I read this this summer... it was different from what I normally read, but I enjoyed it! Some of the things the parents did just made me shake my head in disbelief!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite recent read is Following Ezra by Tom Fields-Meyer. It's written by the father of an autistic boy and it is such a touching story. Also, I have a Kindle 3G (nothing fancy like a touchscreen or anything) and I noticed that the local libraries in SLC have an ebook rental for tablets and ipads and such through the kindle app. I'm not positive if they have that sort of thing in Florida but it's worth checking out!
